The book is mostly a picture book, so it is very easy to read. The characters show so much emotion, and that just makes up the book. Sometimes they're mad, sad, happy, sick, annoyed, overjoyed, ect. The manglers are multi armed humanoid figures covered in knives and swords and they can easily shred a human and they work for Maldor.

I really like this book because it tells you about how the slaves are treated in Pompeii. It also tells you about what happened the day before the destruction of Pompeii. It is really interesting how it happened because nobody knew it was coming except an old lady who told Markas when everything is berning follow the hand of mercury(that came in handy later in the story). They figured out that mercury was pointing to a secret tunnel in the floor. That is why I think you should this book.
